Compatibility
Existing GDDKit 2.0.0 installations can update in place through their platform-specific channel. Existing settings and `.gddkit` project files remain compatible.
What arrived in GDDKit 2.0
Version 2.0 moved the desktop application from WPF to Avalonia while preserving the update channel, user settings, and project format. It introduced packages for Windows 10 and 11 x64, Linux x64 AppImage, macOS Apple Silicon, and macOS Intel.
The release also improved section reordering, synchronized editor and preview scrolling, expanded section icons and genres, added WebView-based Markdown and Mermaid rendering, and improved PDF styling and preview behavior.
Existing projects remain supported
Projects created with earlier versions can still be opened. Legacy Font Awesome section icons are mapped to the bundled Phosphor icon set when loaded.
Supported packages: Windows Setup EXE, Linux x64 AppImage, macOS Apple Silicon PKG, and macOS Intel PKG.
